On August 28, 2025, the 8th Starting Point Sodium Battery Summit Forum, hosted by Starting Point Sodium Battery, was grandly held at the Venus Royal Hotel in Shenzhen. The forum, themed "The True First Year of GWh-Level Shipments: Full-Chain Technological and Capacity Leap," focused on the breakthrough paths of full-chain sodium battery technology and key directions for industrial implementation. Veken Technology, with its outstanding market performance and technical strength, won the top spots in both "China's Sodium Battery Shipments in H1 2025" and "China's Poly Sodium Battery Shipments in H1 2025" and shared its core technological achievements.
During the opening ceremony, the "Top 60 Ranking of Sodium Battery Shipments in H1 2025" was officially released. Thanks to its mature industrial layout, large-scale production capacity, and stable product delivery performance, the company secured two significant honors: "No. 1 in China's Sodium Battery Shipments in H1 2025" and "No. 1 in China's Poly Sodium Battery Shipments in H1 2025." This ranking not only reflects the industry's high recognition of Veken Technology's competitiveness in the sodium battery market but also demonstrates the company's capability to translate sodium battery technology from R&D to large-scale production.
Currently, Veken Technology's sodium battery products have been deployed at scale in various fields, including energy storage power stations, industrial and commercial energy storage, and motorcycle starting power sources, fully meeting diverse market demands. In 2025, the company has successfully expanded into niche application markets such as data center backup power, communication base station backup power, and commercial vehicle start-stop power sources, gaining significant market recognition and further broadening valuable application scenarios for sodium batteries. Simultaneously, the company is focusing on overseas markets, accelerating global business expansion, and providing valuable sodium battery solutions for international customers.
Following this, Du Chenshu, Dean of Veken Technology Research Institute and Deputy General Manager of Nanchang Veken Battery, delivered a keynote speech titled "New Electrochemical Energy Storage Batteries: Introduction to Veken Sodium Battery Development and Application Scenarios." During his speech, Mr. Du highlighted four key technologies of high-safety poly sodium batteries: high-temperature resistance technology, which significantly improves cycle life and capacity retention at 60°C; low-temperature charging technology, ensuring stable charging and discharging at -20°C; high-rate wide-temperature range technology, enabling high-performance sodium batteries that operate in extreme temperatures from -40°C to 80°C and support 10C fast charging and discharging; and ultra-safe technology, which has successfully developed smoke-free cells under nail penetration tests, greatly enhancing product safety.
Moreover, the company had already secured the top spots in both China's sodium battery and energy storage sodium battery shipments in 2024. In 2025, it will continue to deepen technological R&D and market expansion, injecting stronger momentum into the industrialization of sodium batteries and striving for further achievements. In terms of application, Veken Technology's sodium battery products have been widely used in the Guangfa 100MW/200MWh energy storage power station, Hohhot Inner Mongolia 2.5MW/10MWh energy storage power station, North China Oil Field 100kWh movable skid-mounted energy storage power station, and Alaten Aobao Substation-side 40MWh sodium battery energy storage power station in AI Banner, fully validating the reliability of its technology and industrial capabilities while providing practical implementation solutions for the large-scale development of the sodium battery industry.
Looking ahead, Veken Technology will continue to deepen its focus on the sodium battery field, dedicated to technological iteration and capacity breakthroughs, continuously optimizing product performance and application scenarios, and providing more efficient and sustainable sodium battery solutions for the energy transition.
